[Countermeasures against the weak yen] Domestic public cloud

This is Ohara from the Technical Sales Department
Since early March 2022, the yen has been depreciating rapidly in Japan.
Recently, the exchange rate has risen above 140 yen to the dollar, surpassing 150 yen, and this trend is likely to continue for some time.
(Information as of November 2022)
This weak yen and strong dollar situation means that companies that use overseas cloud services such as AWS and GCP are also affected by the exchange rate, which in turn increases their monthly cloud service fees
Beyond also builds, operates, maintains, and monitors domestic cloud servers, which are not affected by exchange rates such as a weak yen and a strong dollar. Here we introduce some of the domestic public cloud services that Beyond handles
Sakura Internet

○ By using it in conjunction with "Sakura VPS" and "Sakura Dedicated Server," you can enjoy both the flexibility of virtual servers and the machine performance of physical servers.
○ "Map View function" that allows you to understand how servers and switches are connected.
○ "Resource Manager function" that allows you to build and manage multiple infrastructure configurations.
○ You can copy the disk of "Sakura VPS" to "Sakura Cloud".
○ Server data transfer usage-based billing: None (Since there is no usage-based billing based on the amount of data transferred, cost calculation is easy).
IDC Frontier

○ Public cloud service starting from 500 yen per month
○ Ultra-fast and powerful cloud service utilizing all-flash disks
○ IDC Frontier's high-speed, high-capacity backbone network enables rapid increases in access and large-scale distribution
○ Supports server spec upgrades without downtime
○ Server data transfer: Pay-as-you-go: Free up to 3TB/month
Internet Initiative Japan

● IIJ GIO Infrastructure P2 Gen.2
○ A service that integrates private and public clouds
. ○ VMware is used as the hypervisor for the virtual infrastructure, allowing you to bring in the design philosophy and operational structure of your existing on-premises environment.
○ A VMware environment that is close to on-premises, yet flexible enough to be used from 1 vCPU / 4GB memory. No need to manage infrastructure such as hypervisors.
○ By linking with IIJ network services, such as WAN and public cloud connectivity, you can configure a multi-cloud environment that includes the network.
○ Server data transfer: Pay-as-you-go (fixed charge based on the maximum bandwidth selected)
summary
Above, we have introduced the domestic cloud services that Beyond handles
If you are concerned about the monthly cloud usage fee due to recent exchange rate fluctuations, or if you do not have any overseas bases outside of Japan, why not consider introducing a domestic cloud service?
