[New graduates] Things I wish I had learned before joining the workforce in my first year

Things I should have learned before joining the company
Nice to meet you, I'm Wagi
Based on my own experiences of failure and regrets working as a first-year new graduate, I will introduce the things I regret not having learned before joining the company
I hope this article helps fewer people have the same experience as me
Please go ahead
typing
The first one is typing

I think it's fine for people who used computers to write reports and take notes during their university days
For those who are not like that, especially those who do not normally type, I think it would be a good idea to practice even a little
In fact, when I first joined the company, I was tapping away while looking at my hands
If it's too slow, it will cause problems for business (it did happen)
I recommend practicing sushi-uchi for about 10 to 15 minutes every day
Correct language

Next is language usage, including honorific language
Do you think you are using the correct honorific language, but actually it's wrong?
There are cases where the words you used at university or part-time jobs are surprisingly incorrect
for example,
"I got it"
Meaning: I understand
Correct answer: I understand / Understood
It's definitely better to use the correct words from the start than to make mistakes after actually using them
Just like with typing, set aside a little time each day to study
Note-taking habits
The last one is the habit of taking notes

It feels similar to taking notes in class
When you join a new company, you will find yourself surrounded by new rules, new words, and other things you don't understand
If you make a note of something you don't understand or learn something new,
It can be used for confirmation or as a useful tool for self-study
lastly
These are all things that I actually struggled with, so I hope they will be of some help to you as a negative example
Thank you for staying with us until the end
