What is a cross-cultural exchange meeting?
Cross-cultural exchange meetings are events held irregularly at Hataraku Project for the purpose of helping current overseas employees understand the culture of their countries of origin. In the past, we held a Canadian edition
Held during the lunch break, the event includes cultural understanding through quizzes and iconic snacks from each country. The event has been well received by the employees who have participated in it each time. (Click here for past events)
[Cross-Cultural Exchange Meeting ~Canada Edition~] Let's experience different cultures at work!
India edition: Scenes from the day🍛
With the help of our engineer Panchal, who is from India, we were able to successfully hold the event like this🍛
, participants enjoyed the
slightly spicy fried samosas (pictured below, left) and extremely sweet sweets, soong papdi which I didn't know about, such as `` Even family members speak in honorific language '' and `` Electronic money is widespread and can be used at food stalls.' ' .
The shop where we procured ingredients this time🍛
I procured the ingredients at
Everest Spice Mart near Namba Parks The 1st floor is a restaurant, and when you go underground, you'll find all kinds of ingredients and spices!
There are many products that our Panchals have seen in their homeland, making it the perfect place to purchase Indian spices and ingredients.
Thank you, Everest Spice Mart, for consulting with us regarding ingredients!
Future through cross-cultural exchange meetings
So far, we have held events in Canada 🍁, China 🐼, and India 🍛, but in order to realize Beyond's mission of `` making the world a little easier' ' as Hataraku Project, we first started by collaborating with our employees to share our corporate philosophy. I hope that I can continue to create and support together (commonly known as Tomotsuku)
To that end, we would like to continue to actively hold events like this in the future, with the aim of promoting mutual understanding with our overseas employees as part of the "diversity and inclusion" that is being talked about these days!
This was an introduction to Hataraku PJ and the cross-cultural exchange event!
