What is an intercultural exchange event?

The cross-cultural exchange event is an event held irregularly by the Hataraku Project with the aim of helping current overseas employees understand the cultures of their home countries. In the past, we have held a Canada edition🍁 (as we have an office there) and a China edition🐼.

Held during lunch breaks, the event promotes cultural understanding through quizzes and serves iconic snacks from each country. It has always been well-received by employees who have participated. (Click here for past events.)

With the help of our engineer Panchal, who is originally from India, the event went smoothly

During the event, participants were treated to

samosas (pictured below, left) and incredibly sweet soan papdi some facts about India that I was not familiar with, such as " even family members speak politely " and " electronic money is widespread and can be used at food stalls ," and the answers to the quiz varied widely, making for an interesting event.

The store where we sourced our ingredients this time🍛

I got all my ingredients from

Everest Spice Mart near Namba Parks The first floor is a restaurant, and if you go down to the basement you'll find a wide selection of ingredients and spices!

There are many products that our company's Panchal has seen in his home country, making it the perfect place to source Indian spices and ingredients.

Thank you to Everest Spice Mart for your advice on ingredients!
