Cloud/Server Basic Training Program|IPPO

IPPO Co., Ltd. is a real estate tech company whose main business is office brokerage. operates ``Hitte,'' vacancies ,'' which allow relocation with significantly reduced interior costs and restoration costs. I am.

This time, we spoke to Beyond's director and COO, Mr. Nakagawa, about the behind-the-scenes aspects of using and utilizing Beyond's "Cloud/Server Basic Training Program."

``Because the basic system training was given by an active server engineer, I was able to review my system knowledge in line with the practical level of my company.''

● Interviewee: Mr. Nakagawa, COO of IPPO Co., Ltd.
● Interviewer: Haraoka, Representative Director of Beyond Co., Ltd.

Please tell us about IPPO's company information.

● IPPO Mr. Nakagawa:
IPPO Co., Ltd. is involved in the real estate business, which focuses on intermediating office relocations, and the planning and operation of a web service called ``Hitte,'' a platform for matching property owners with startups and venture companies that want to rent properties . We are doing it.

``Hitte'' allows users to freely search for and register offices that can be rented without a living space, and IPPO has a system in which the brokerage fees that are incurred when a tenant is confirmed for a vacant property can be used as cash points. Masu.

Additionally, there are surprisingly few services in the market that center around the concepts of ``for startups and ventures'', ``specializing in vacant properties'', and ``office brokerage platform'', so in this sense, Hitte successfully differentiates itself from the real estate services of its competitors. I think it has become a reality. Recently, the number of users using Hitte has been increasing, thanks to the trends in the world that are favoring staying at home, and by attracting customers mainly through word of mouth, without spending on advertising.

Please tell us about the issues/background before using the service at IPPO.

● IPPO Mr. Nakagawa:
This is related to what I mentioned earlier, but the number of new inquiries about Hitte's web service itself is increasing due to word of mouth from people who are already using and aware of Hitte. However, as I was thinking about launching a large-scale promotion in the future, I started to become more aware of the system aspect of the game, asking, "Is this server environment and configuration correct?"

I originally worked at a men's apparel e-commerce site management company, and was involved in the operation of Internet advertisements that amounted to hundreds of millions of dollars a year. When I carried out a large-scale promotion, I realized that if the number of accesses really increased all at once, the site would be slow to display. If this happens, we will think about ways to temporarily increase the server specs or install a CDN (Content Delivery Network) to reduce the access load on the origin server. Ta.

However, as we expand our business in the future, when we hire new members to handle these Internet advertising operations, we cannot say that many of them are familiar with the logical aspects of the system itself. When using Internet advertising in the future, if not only I but the members themselves are not familiar with the system to a certain extent, the operation of "Hitte" may be hindered. That's what I'm starting to think.

Please tell us what made you choose Beyond's services.

● IPPO Mr. Nakagawa:
I knew that other companies' training services included training menus for servers (Linux, etc.) and programming languages, but this service provides training menus in line with our practical level. There was no.

What we were looking for was the server on which the website runs and the source code. What kind of system processing is done and how does the system work? And if the server stops, what problems will occur? You will systematically learn content that can be put to practical use, such as, "What should I do to restore the system after that? If I don't take these solutions when the website is slow to display, it will result in lost service opportunities." That was it. Beyond creates lecture materials in a detailed format so that when the number of members increases in the company, the same content can be taught in-house to those members, giving them exactly what they need. They even prepared thoughtful things for me.

In addition, we have been outsourcing the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the cloud/server for Hitte's web service to Beyond's engineers, and we have been requesting support for system maintenance and updates. "Wouldn't it be faster if we asked an infrastructure expert to give us a lecture?" So we requested a system training course that was uniquely designed for our company.

The majority of those working on the front lines of our company are in account planner and sales positions, so-called non-engineers. Those members had only vaguely heard of systems such as ``The IP address is converted, a response is returned from the server, and somehow...''. In the case of training services, I felt like it would take a lot of time to learn, so I remember quickly arriving at the idea that it would be faster to ask Beyond directly! Masu. (lol)

What were the effects after using Beyond's service?

* Some of the materials used in the cloud/server basic training program

* Some of the materials used in the cloud/server basic training program

● IPPO Mr. Nakagawa:
After taking Beyond's Cloud/Server Basic Training, I was able to realize two effects and benefits.

Firstly, I feel that the major point was that the training content was truly applicable in practical situations. His training content for non-engineers was quite fruitful for us as he customized it to our situation and challenges. Mr. Teraoka from Beyond, who usually works on cloud/server construction and operation projects, served as the training instructor for about 4 hours . Five or six members of our company took the course.

After the training, they also provided us with solid materials and documents, which was helpful because we were able to review our system knowledge with our company members afterwards. After training, if there are no materials or documents, it is almost impossible for members within the company to digest the information and incorporate it into internal knowledge.

The second thing was that I was able to understand that there are ways and means to operate a site in the first place, especially when it comes to servers. Neither we nor he had that much of an understanding of how servers/infrastructures work, but he certainly understands the world of systems and the Internet, and even if you're careful, there are times when you don't know what's going to happen. There aren't that many.

Even among members within our company, if there was only one keyword related to servers/infrastructure, we would only talk about the number of PVs, number of sessions, and access privileges, but up until now, we had only one keyword related to servers/infrastructure. With this type of system configuration, there are concerns and points to be aware of, and in the unlikely event that the site display is not reflected at all, system troubles and machine losses may occur. I didn't have the opportunity to receive lectures or advice, so I was able to use this training as an opportunity to clear up things that I had felt unclear about until now.

Also, regarding the system, it has become clear to me what to ask someone for and how to do it, so once I have a certain level of knowledge about the underlying system, I think system problems will really decrease. I felt that.

Please tell us about IPPO's company PR and future prospects.

● IPPO Mr. Nakagawa:
I feel that IPPO, a company that has developed its business so far, has achieved a certain level of branding as ``strong in office relocation,'' but there are ``three'' future developments.

First, we found that there were many benefits and needs in the field of "office relocation," so we are not only expanding our services to the Tokyo metropolitan area, but also extending our services to Osaka, the Kansai area, and the Fukuoka area as well. Once the culture has permeated, at that stage we are considering expanding into areas outside of Tokyo, albeit in the long term.

Second, our IPPO is a company that values ``IPPO's identity,'' so as IPPO and Hitte's services expand in the future, we will firmly secure IPPO's vision and values and strengthen our service operations. In order to make this a reality, I would like to aim to strengthen our inside sales, customer support, and marketing departments.

Regarding the third and final point, although the outlook is further into the future, we would like to develop it not only as an office relocation service but also as a matching service for general office properties and other work locations. I am.
