How to prepare in advance for an exhibition! Tokyo Game Show Edition: Three points: If you do this, you will get a good response!
table of contents
Hello, this is Shinji Nakauchi from the Technical Sales Department.
Following on from last year, we will also be exhibiting at this year's Tokyo Game Show (TGS).
We will introduce the preparations you should make before exhibiting at TGS. (This is what Mr. Shigemoto from Escadora, who we co-exhibited with last year, told us.)
ticket
The turnkey booth exhibited by Beyond will receive 100 invitation tickets (110 for CESA members), and you can freely decide the breakdown of Business Day pre-registration tickets and general admission tickets.
If you request 100 Business Day pre-registration tickets, it would normally cost 5,000 yen, so you would get 5,000 yen x 100 tickets = 500,000 yen for free.
This is pretty big.
It is no exaggeration to say that the success or failure of an exhibitor depends on whether or not these invitation tickets can be distributed.
Funny story, the person you give the ticket to will have a pretty good chance of coming to see the booth.
Since we are handing out 100 tickets, we have less free time and can create a situation where there are customers at the booth.
Customers will be more likely to visit a booth with a certain amount of people than a booth with no one around that looks busy, so your chances of meeting new customers will be much higher.
promotional items
When you go to an exhibition, not just TGS, you get a lot of pamphlets.
If you've ever been to an exhibition, you'll know that the flow goes something like this.
Enter
↓
Receive a huge bag of promotional items
↓
Put the pamphlets you received at each booth into the big bag
↓
Take them home and inspect them
↓
Most of the pamphlets go in the trash
But what about a "fan"? There is a possibility that it will turn around while looking up at the hand that is not holding the bag. They pass around looking up at fans with the company name on them, so there are many opportunities to be seen by others.
Furthermore, there is a possibility that the fan will be used at work, so we will make the fan the strongest promotional item!
TGS is held in mid-September, so it's still hot weather, so a fan is a perfect item!
appointment system
This system is an appointment system for business negotiations between exhibitors or between exhibitors and visitors during the exhibition period. (If TGS is a business day, visitors will also register their personal information.)
You can also make an appointment with the person you want to meet from the list and have a business meeting with them if they give you permission.
lastly
I think if we give out 100 tickets and all the fans, we'll get a decent response.
If you are only exhibiting on business days, I think you will get an even better result if you don't drink too much on the first night and try to be in the best possible condition on the second day. (That's the most difficult thing...)
