Nintendo, the much talked about company, announced their financial results for the first quarter of 2017 today, the 27th, so we'll summarize them here!

Sales: 61,969 million yen (down 31.3% from the same period last year)

Operating profit: -5.134 billion yen (turned into the red)

A spectacular decline in revenue and profits!!

This is from April to June, so it has nothing to do with Pokemon GO

The cause is poor hardware sales

Honestly, I think the delay of Pokemon GO Plus (released by Nintendo) is a big blow. It's supposed to be released at the end of September, but we don't know if this abnormal situation will last until the end of September, so it's definitely best to release it under the current circumstances

However, if we look further ahead and consider Nintendo IP in smartphone games, there are still many bright spots, so I think we can have hope in the long term

There wasn't much talk about the NX this time either, even though this is what I'm most interested in personally
