[End of the Year] Clean up your slow PC after a year of use with CCleaner!

This is Yamada from the Systems Department.
There are only 10 days left in 2016.
Today, I'd like to introduce you to a quick PC cleaning method that you can do in between busy end-of-year cleaning.

"CCleaner Free" is a free software that can easily clean up a slow PC

This tool is a great tool that allows you to easily clean up junk files and unnecessary applications that accumulate over time. It's free software, too.
You can download it by clicking "Download" under "CCleaner - Installer" from here

How to install

Double-click the downloaded "ccsetup525.exe".
Then, follow the instructions in the installer and complete the installation.

Once done, click "Run CCleaner" to launch the software!

Delete unnecessary files

As you continue to use your PC, various files accumulate,
such as browser cache, Windows Update installers, and application log files First, delete these junk files. This
not only reduces the capacity of your data drive, but also improves its operating speed.

Open the "Cleaner" screen and click "Analyze (A)" to extract files that can be deleted.
Click "Start Cleanup (R)" to automatically delete them after extraction.

The current settings are sufficient, but if you are using Chrome or FireFox, I recommend checking the "Optimize database (SQLite)" box, as this will (I think) improve the browser's performance

Registry Cleanup

The "registry" is like a database that stores various settings used in Windows in one place.
These days, we often hear that cleaning the registry is ineffective, but
it's annoying to have DLLs that you've been using for years and no longer need remain forever, so let's quickly delete them. You can delete

them by selecting "Scan for problems (S)" and then "Resolve problems (F)."
You can make a backup before deleting, so be sure to save it.

Startup organization

Finally, organize your startup.
Startup is a setting that launches installed programs as soon as Windows starts up, but
some programs may register themselves in startup automatically.
Especially when using a manufacturer-made PC, there are often a lot of unnecessary software programs registered.
Also, in my experience, people whose PCs start up very slowly tend to have a large number of programs registered in startup.
Organize them.

Judging from the "Program Name," if it seems like you don't need it, disable it with the "Disable" button.
However, if the "File" column says "C:\Windows\~," it's likely a system program, so
if you don't know what program it is, don't touch it.

Restart Windows

Once you've completed this, try restarting Windows.
If you notice that your computer boots up faster and your browser runs smoothly, you've succeeded.
This software is very useful, so it's a good idea to use it frequently, not just once a year.
