AWS Cloud Practitioner Pass Experience for Public Relations Recruitment
My name is Kai Fujisawa and I am in charge of public relations and recruitment.
I passed the AWS Cloud Practitioner (CLF)
I would be happy if anyone who is about to take the exam and wants to pass the exam on the first try will read this and find it helpful in some small way. (Especially for non-engineers)
1st time: Fail
The flow of the exam on the day is as follows.
- 65 exam questions
- Questionnaire answers regarding the exam
- Pass/fail result display
When I finished answering all the questions and sent out the questionnaire, I saw an inorganic word "Fail" For a while, I couldn't move a single step; I was just a soulless object.
2nd time: Passed
there was a "pass" there After giving a small silent fist pump so as not to disturb the person next to me, I grinned for a moment and calmed down before getting up from my seat.
Author's specs
- non-engineer
- I've never touched the console
- Have you seen the billing dashboard?
My understanding was that AWS seems to be popular.
I heard within the company that there was a qualification for AWS non-engineers, so I decided to take it. That's what the representative told me, so I gave it a try.
First study method
- AWS Certification Exam Text
- mock exam
- Udemy mock exam question collection
1. AWS Certification Exam Text
Amazon: AWS Certification Exam Text AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
I received this book from my company and read it for two weeks.
At the time, our technical sales staff told us, ``Just read this book and you'll pass!'' However, I now understand that this was only for people who had some knowledge of AWS
2. mock exam
This is a mock exam (2000 yen) provided by AWS.
Test your knowledge in a time-limited online environment. Visit aws.training to register
Once you have taken the test, your results will be sent to you via email.
Eh, it's 80% cool! So maybe I got a little carried away.
At that time, I thought that I would pass the actual exam at this rate.
3. Udemy mock exam question collection
Honestly, it's extremely annoying.
Book ≦ Mock exam <<< Actual < Udemy
is. *Personal impressions
- That wasn't written in the book! ?
- Is there such a service? ?
- There are a lot of trick questions~
There were many situations where I felt that way.
So Udemy is
- Read and study the explanation of the correct answer
- Practice reading long questions
- Become immune to trick questions
We recommend that you use it for such purposes.
Second study method
1. Solve problems on Udemy
After experiencing the frustration of dropping with a score of 673 and thinking about what I was missing, I decided to face Udemy.
There are 6 practice tests on Udemy.
- Practice test 1: Mock exam (basic level ①) 65 questions
- Practice test 2: Mock exam (basic level ②) 65 questions
- Practice test 3: Mock exam (applied level ①) 65 questions
- Practice test 4: Mock exam (applied level ②) 65 questions
- Practice test 5: Mock exam (applied level ③) 65 questions
- Practice test 6: Additional questions (high difficulty) 130 questions for 2 mock exams
The first time, I only took each test for one week, so I took three weeks to prepare for the re-examination.
The important thing is to read and study the explanations of the correct answers
The explanation includes explanations about incorrect services as well as explanations about correct services.
I kept imagining the vast array of AWS services that I had never seen or touched before thinking, ``Wow, that kind of service exists'' and ``I'm sure this is what it's like,'' until just before the actual event.
Other things you should do
Ask the engineer directly
Studying for exams is lonely. Therefore, I recommend that you share your study status with someone.
Our company is primarily engaged in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of cloud computing. Fortunately, there are many talented engineers who have passed the AWS Solution Architect Associate (SAA) certification, so I was able to ask them to help me with any problems or services I found difficult to understand.
It was easier to remember the information when it was explained to me directly than when I read it in text.
Read other people's success stories
If you search for "AWS Cloud Practitioner" you will find many articles.
There are many testimonials from non-engineers who have passed the exam, which gives you peace of mind knowing that there are other people out there who have passed the exam.
A dictionary of IT terms that will make you feel like you understand, even if you don't understand.
I suddenly wondered, "What are middleware, OS, and software? What's the difference?" I googled them and found a site that non-engineers would appreciate.
He also includes pictures, so "I don't understand something" turns into "I kind of understand."

What you get by getting a qualification
- I felt that IT was amazing.
- I was able to understand a part of my company's business content.
- I feel like I have become closer psychologically to the engineers.
Now that I've passed the Cloud Practitioner exam, I'm thinking of taking the Solution Architect exam as well, but I think it's going to be extremely difficult, so I'll study hard and have plenty of time to pass the exam on the first try.
Even if you have never touched AWS before, you can still get this qualification, so if you are interested, why not take it!
