List of cloud/server services in China
There are various types of cloud/server services in China, but in this article, we will introduce some of them.
Baidu Cloud
This is a cloud platform service provided by Baidu, China's largest search engine.
It is positioned like the Chinese version of Google Search, so like Google Cloud, it has strengths in "AI/machine learning" resources.
Huawei Cloud
It is a cloud service provided by one of the world's leading telecommunications equipment manufacturers headquartered in Shenzhen, and is deployed globally like Alibaba Cloud and Tencent Cloud.
Huawei Cloud draws on more than 30 years of accumulated technology, innovation, and expertise in the ICT infrastructure field to provide a powerful computing platform and an easy-to-use development platform.
JD Cloud (JD Cloud)
headquartered in Beijing that operates Jingdong Shopping City (JD.com)*
JD Cloud offers China's largest memory cloud host, with 1,464GB of DDR4 memory. This enables the deployment of large-scale services with very high data exchange speed and memory capacity requirements.
Qing Cloud
A subsidiary of Beijing Qingyun Technology Co., Ltd., located in Beijing, is an enterprise-level cloud provider and solution provider. My impression is that we have strengths in matters related to finance, transportation, medical care, education, and government.
Yu Kanayama (Kingsoft Cloud)
This is a cloud platform provided by Kanayama Soft Co., Ltd., the parent company of Kingsoft, which provides the WPS Office office suite product.
It has been increasing its market share mainly in China, and although it has been several years since the service began, it has all the functions necessary for cloud services such as load balancing, multi-AZ, and CDN. By the way, the resource name of the VM machine is KEC (Kingsoft Elastic Compute).
summary
Although cloud/server services are not very familiar in Japan, these cloud vendors are already expanding globally.
In a few more years, these cloud services may arrive in Japan and become famous there.
