Interview with Kojima

What made you want to work for your company?
I'm originally from Hyogo Prefecture and lived there until I graduated from high school, but I moved to Tokushima when I went to university. I
really liked the people of Tokushima and the atmosphere of the town; it made me feel very comfortable.
I did move to Tokyo once to attend graduate school, but my love for Tokushima remained unchanged, so I decided to stay in Tokushima.
Because I love Tokushima, I wanted a job where I could interact with people from Tokushima, and that's when I became attracted to satellite offices.
I wanted to work for Genio, which is working to do something for the local community.
What kind of work do you do?
I work in public relations.
I communicate the initiatives of the satellite office and the company, and
I meet with journalists to get coverage in newspapers and other media.
What do you find appealing and rewarding about your job?
As I work in public relations, I communicate the company's initiatives, and I'm happy when employees and people in the company are pleased when our work is featured in newspapers and other media
.
When we post announcements on our website or get featured in local newspapers, we get comments from people in the community saying, "I saw it!",
and that's when I feel like this job is worthwhile.

What are the attractive points of Masakai Ryokan (satellite office)?
I think it's the camaraderie.
Since the people who work here are all around the same age, we get along well.
Just being part of the Masakai Ryokan team creates a sense of camaraderie and closeness. We
see each other often, and there are social gatherings, so working at Masakai Ryokan is fun.
We help each other out a lot, so I feel like I'm working in a great environment.
What do you keep in mind or value for your personal growth?
Since I joined without any experience, I feel more motivated than anyone else to work hard!
I study at home outside of work hours and try to have plenty of time for input.
I study not only by surfing the internet, but also by using YouTube.
On busy days, I study for about three hours.
When I don't have much time or am busy, I use my commute time to play YouTube videos and
try to get as much input as possible.
Are there any strengths or special skills that you've been able to utilize in your work?
I enjoy researching things, so I think that's useful when I'm studying.
I research the PR efforts of other companies to gather information and learn from them.
Also, I enjoy taking pictures, so I think that's useful when using photos in PR.
Even if it's a photo taken by someone else, I edit it to make it look good.
How do you spend your free time?

I love to eat, so I often go to Kagawa Prefecture to eat udon noodles.
I feel that eating delicious food is my best stress reliever.
On my days off, I usually go out.
Miyoshi City is a convenient location for getting to various parts of Shikoku, so on my days off I go to different places to relax and then
work hard during the weekdays!
Is there anything you'd like to do or challenge yourself with in the future?
I want to work hard as a PR person so that more people can learn about Genio.
As a result of my PR efforts so far, I've been able to build connections with local newspapers and they often feature us, but I
'd like to be featured in other media as well, so I'd like to hold events that will generate buzz and explore new audiences.
In my private life, I'd like to improve my cooking skills. I
want to do household chores as efficiently as possible so that I can spend the time I gain meaningfully.
I'd like to expand my cooking repertoire and prepare meals in advance, but
I'm not able to do that right now, so those are my goals for the future.

Finally

Ms. Kojima's goals and efforts towards achieving them are wonderful.
This Persian cat is increasingly interested in Genio, a company employing such a fantastic staff member.
The weekly "lunch gathering" where all employees eat lunch together every Thursday also seems very appealing.
I will continue to support Genio and Masami Ryokan as their public relations representative! (^O^)/

Growing every day, moving forward every day.
I must update myself every single day!!!
Thank you for reading to the end.
