Communicating at a Minecraft company social event during telework

My name is Fujisawa, and I'm in charge of public relations and recruitment, currently slacking off as an island creator in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
How are you all doing while teleworking?
At first, I felt very lonely working from home, but after two months, working alone at home became the norm, and I began to miss the days when I could talk face-to-face with my colleagues
In this situation, many people are probably feeling frustrated and wondering, "How should I communicate while working remotely?"
So our company held something called a "Minecraft In-house Networking Event"

▲There is the Beyond logo "b"
To sum up, it was really fun
- The company will cover the cost of purchasing Minecraft
- The server is built by our infrastructure engineers (Microsoft Azure)
- Teams are given the mission to gather in Minecraft and build a house
- While being attacked by zombies, teams must gather wood and other materials to complete a house within the time limit
Many of the participants were Minecraft beginners, and it was my first time playing it too, so I played while being taught how to operate it

▲It was difficult to communicate within Minecraft, so we connected via Zoom
The teams were evenly divided between experienced Minecraft players and beginners, and in about an hour they collected wood and flowers to build a house, hunted pigs and cows for no apparent reason, and suddenly found themselves attacked by zombies and blacked out.It was a far cry from the reality of being stuck at home
▲There is no problem even if people are crowded together in the game
And here is the house my team built!

It's magnificent. The flowers are nicely planted
I was a beginner at Minecraft, but as I played more I got used to the controls and enjoyed it thoroughly, and I could see why Minecraft is ranked second in the list of most popular games for children (apparently Fortnite is number one)
The possibilities of Minecraft are endless
Amid this COVID-19 pandemic, opportunities to gather and communicate online are likely to continue to increase
Our company a company information session in Minecraft, so from now on, it may be possible for employees to come to work inside Minecraft...
I think there are many more things you can do within Minecraft, so I would like to continue to take on new challenges so that I can continue to find more interesting ways of working!
