Why doesn't "Nomushin Shoten" go bankrupt even during the coronavirus pandemic?

"Nomusin Shoten" is an in-house food store started by Yuki Nomura (nickname: Nomusin) , a server-side engineer in Beyond's system development department.

In this way, Beyond has an interesting culture in which not only does the company provide benefits to its employees, but employees themselves are able to provide benefits to the company.

 

Immediately after joining Beyond as a mid-career hire, I was inspired by Nomushin Shoten

I thought about it and thought, ``I want to create a company welfare program that only I can do.''

Then, I started a photography studio called Goto Photo Studio .

What is the in-house photo studio “Goto Photo Studio”?

Goto Photo Studio is an in-house photography studio founded by me, whose previous job was as a photographer.

At Goto Photo Studio, all employees can take profile photos

Furthermore, not only take photos of in-house events also take photos needed for press releases

As this is a welfare benefit, of course we do not charge a separate shooting fee.

At Beyond, our main business is the construction, operation, and maintenance of servers , so we say, "We'll leave everything to you when it comes to servers."

the name "Goto Photo Studio" extremely lame , but surprisingly, I couldn't think of a catchier name, so I still operate under the trade name "Goto Photo Studio."

I understand that the company has a photo studio, but what about the quality of the photos? I know some of you may have doubts.

Therefore, I would like to introduce my background as a photographer below.

Since around September 2016, I have had a wide range of experience including wedding party photography, music event snapshots, school event snapshots, and architectural photography.

Since May 2017, while working as a director at a design company, I have learned the skills of food photography and photo shoots (so-called general product photography) under a representative who is a food photographer, and have been in charge of many on-site shoots.

Since 2018, I have had a wide range of experience including fashion photography, salon photography, and promotional photography for artists.

I think it is a good value for me to be in the position of a photographer who can easily take pictures within the company. I am self-evaluating.

the reservation system EDISONE, which Beyond has developed and operates in-house .

a highly functional reservation system that can be used for a variety of purposes, including clinics, salons such as beauty salons, facility rentals, and online lessons .

Of course, Edison can also accept reservations for photo shoots that are intended to be used within the company, as we did this time.

Goto Photo Studio, an in-house photography studio that suddenly started without anyone in the company asking them to do it, already has examples of implementation

Case 1: Taking a profile photo of the representative director

It is widely used in external presentations and SNS

Case 2: Profile photo shoot for public relations recruitment staff

I was in charge of photographing the public relations and recruitment staff who can be called the "face" of Beyond.

Case 3: Taking profile photos of new members

We have also taken profile photos of members who graduated in 2020 and employees who joined mid-career in 2020, as shown below.

 

 

In addition to the above cases, I am also in charge of photographing customers in a variety of situations, such as photographing them when they visit our office.

For many people, there may not be many opportunities to take professional photos.

Therefore, I believe that advantage our employees can experience photography as a familiar experience at any time

In addition, having many employees with high-quality profile photos not only contributes to the branding of the company, but also creates opportunities for individuals who belong to the company to be more active beyond the framework of the company. That's what I'm thinking.

Due to the influence of the coronavirus, we are currently refraining from active photo shoot activities, but in the future, we would like to make a leap forward to make the benefits available to more employees and their associates.
