table of contents
Hello!
I'm Inoue, a Persian cat from Beyond Co., Ltd.'s Shikoku office.
has a team
called the Organizational Culture Committee, which works to stimulate internal communication and I am also a member of the Organizational Culture Committee during its fourth term, and have been involved in a variety of activities.
Now that our fourth term has come to an end, I would like to provide a summary of the activities of our fourth term members.
Goals of the 4th Organizational Culture Committee
Policy: "Work to promote communication within the company"
Goal: Spread a culture of mutual praise and recognition

[Organizational Culture Committee] What kind of training facilitates communication?
When you first join the company, you tend to feel reserved and find it difficult to talk to other employees.
As one of the quickest ways to solve this problem, the Organizational Culture Committee planned the training. It
not only provided opportunities for new graduates to interact with existing employees, but also allowed employees to have fun and discover new things together.
Praise activity
At our company, we hold a lunch meeting for all employees every weekday at 12:15. The
person on lunch meeting duty gives a one to three minute speech, and the topic of the speech is also decided by the Organizational Culture Committee.
The topics for this year's lunch meeting speech by the Organizational Culture Committee are as follows:
| Weeks 1 and 3 | Weeks 2 and 4 | |
| month | My hobbies and ways to relieve stress | Recommended content |
| fire | People I want to thank | Your Content and News |
| water | What's great about this person (or yourself) | What's great about this person (or yourself) |
| tree | Corporate philosophy, mission, and code of conduct | Corporate philosophy, mission, and code of conduct |
| gold | Suggestions for improvement, what you have been working on, or what you have stopped doing | Recently popular services and tools |
| Week 5 | Free Talk | Free Talk |
By setting topics for the lunchtime speeches, such as "Someone I want to say thank you to" or "This is what's great about this person,"
I feel that employees have actually started to consciously look for each other's good points.
Even if they're in the same company, if they're in different locations or departments, they don't have many contact points and don't have many opportunities to get to know each other.
So, by listening to speeches using topics like these, it's an opportunity to get to know the personalities of people with whom we don't have much contact.
I feel that it's a good opportunity to connect with people who I find difficult to talk to and with whom I haven't had much communication.
fellowship
"Fellowship" is a networking event with our Canadian office.
It takes place once a month, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM, for one hour.
Each month, the Organizational Culture Committee prepares a talk theme, and the main focus is on discussing that theme.
The talk topics were chosen based on the TV show "Sanma Goten."
Employees from our Canadian office can join over dinner, while employees from our Japanese offices can join over coffee.
Due to the approximately 13-hour time difference between Canada and Japan, it's difficult to connect without these types of opportunities.
Fellowship was started to solve this problem.
We value communication between employees at our company, so we're pleased that so many employees actively participate in these networking events.

Online drinking party
We always planned employee welcome parties.
Using ZOOM, new employees would split into rooms of about five people, and each would rotate through each room, chatting for a short 10-minute period.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we couldn't hold these offline events
However, offline events often mean that some employees can't speak depending on their seating arrangement, but the advantage of offline events is that everyone can speak equally.
Even in months when there are no welcome or farewell parties, the Organizational Culture Committee plans an online drinking party once a month. We
prepared games that could be played online.
We played "picture chain games" and games using online game tools.
An unexpected artist showed up during the "picture chain games," which created a lot of excitement.
For the "praise drinking party," employees split into rooms of about five people, and spent five minutes constantly praising each other in the same room.
This became President Haraoka's favorite drinking party, and he said, "It feels so good! I want to be praised forever!" (laughs)
At our company's online drinking parties, after the first party is over and everyone disperses, we set up a ZOOM session for the second party, and anyone can join.
At the second party, we often played "Jinro Game" and "Among Us.
" "Among Us" is a free smartphone app that can be downloaded for free. It's similar to "Jinro," but it's more game-like and fun.
"Among Us" can be played online, but you can also create your own room and play with just your friends, so
I encourage everyone who reads this blog to give it a try!
I'm not good at games and I'm also bad at lying, so I dropped out of both "Jinro Game" and "Among Us" right away (laughs).
Beyond Encyclopedia
The "Beyond Encyclopedia" is a profile of employees that is only available within the company.
We decided to create the "Beyond Encyclopedia" after receiving
advice
It can be used when new employees join the company to remember their faces and names, and it also serves as an opportunity for existing employees to get to know each other.
We asked random questions ranging from work-related to personal questions, and recorded the answers in the encyclopedia.
It was difficult to create with just the four members of the Organizational Culture Committee, so we also asked employees from the Administration and Public Relations departments to help out.
Furthermore, the creation of the Google Site was finally completed after much effort, with the members of the next Organizational Culture Committee playing a central role in
coming up with the design and dividing up the work!

Finally
The past year I've been a member of the Organizational Culture Committee
has been challenging, as I had to juggle my regular work and the activities of the Organizational Culture Committee at the same time, but it's been a very fulfilling year.
When I joined the company, we only had two offices in Osaka and Shikoku, but before I knew it, we had added the Yokohama and Canada offices, bringing the total to four locations.
When working in IT, it's easy to communicate via chat and Slack, but
our company is one where lively communication is encouraged without using such tools.
I believe that the strength of knowing each other is what you can rely on in times of crisis, so I'm really looking forward to the activities of the next Organizational Culture Committee!
Growing every day, progressing every day.
I have to update myself every day!!!
Thank you for reading to the end.
