Are you moving away from IE? [Internet Explorer]

table of contents
Hello.
My name
is Kawai and I work in the Link Local System Solutions Department.
It's June.
The long holiday month of May is over, and it's probably the time of year when we need to change our mindset.
The rainy season is starting to arrive in many places, so let's do our best.
Speaking of switching, is your company moving forward with a browser transition?
Yes, it is. As the title says, official support for the renowned Microsoft browser, Internet Explorer (commonly known as IE), will end
on June 15, 2022. (I didn't use it, but I feel the decline of all things, just like when Flash games were discontinued a while ago.)
This time, we'll be talking about this big news, which basically means, "Let's make the transition quickly."
*Updated June 16th:
Support has finally ended .
It's quite moving.

So what's the problem?
Ending support means that...
・Security updates will no longer be provided → dangerous
・There is a risk that it will no longer be compatible with various systems and services → this may affect business operations,
etc.
Microsoft has already announced that various apps will no longer work, and just looking at this document , it seems that support for apps like Teams has already ended.
(Other site and service operators are probably busy dealing with the situation...)
IE superpower Japan
StatCounter which publishes statistical information , IE accounted for a whopping 1.79% of browser usage between April 2021 and April 2022.
(Unfortunately, I couldn't find the population for the graph, but) according to the Statistics Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs amounts to about 2.23 million people out of Japan's population of 125.05 million (as of May 1, 2022), and the
Labor Force Survey (January 2022) by the Japan Institute for Labor Policy and Training states that "employees excluding executives (56.2 million)" - a simple calculation suggests that among people who have some kind of job, roughly one in 25 still uses IE. Koshien Stadium can hold about 50,000 people, so with 2.23 million people, that means about 40+ games' worth of people are using IE (probably).
Migrate now
So, if you don't have any preference, follow Microsoft's advice and use Microsoft Edge!
⬇ If you're using IE, you'll be prompted to do so, so just launch it.

You can easily transfer your favorites by following the steps below
1. Launch Microsoft Edge and click [...] in the top right corner to open the Favorites menu

2. Click […] → [Import Favorites]

3. Select Internet Explorer from [Import Source], select the items you want to transfer, and click [Import] to complete the process

The end
