What is a hygiene committee? ~A safe place created by the company and employees~

table of contents
youknow what a health and safety committee is?
Actually, by law, businesses with 50 or more employees are required to establish a health and safety committee.
At Beyond, we started a hygiene committee about two years ago when our number of employees exceeded 50!
This time, I'd like to give you a brief overview of what that hygiene committee is all about.
What is the Sanitation Committee?
This committee is established to protect the health and safety of employees in the workplace . According to the Industrial Safety and Health Act, businesses with 50 or more employees are required to hold this committee meeting at least once a month.
Main activities
The Health Committee is engaged in activities such as the following
• Regular meetings at least once a month
• Workplace inspections (checking the office environment)
• Sharing of seasonal health topics
• Implementation and follow-up of stress checks, etc.
Member Composition
The Health and Safety Committee is comprised of the following members to ensure that it incorporates perspectives from both the company and the employees. This allows for balanced discussions about the health and safety of the entire workplace
- Chairperson(company representative or their representative)
- Industrial physician(health management specialist)
- Hygiene manager(responsible for workplace hygiene and safety)
- Employee representative(role of conveying the voices of those on the front lines)
Ideally, employee representatives should be selected with consideration given to the balance of departments and the gender ratio
This term's Beyond Hygiene Committee has members from almost every department! I recently obtained my certification, so I'm now able to participate as a hygiene manager ! 😊
Benefits of the Health Committee
Benefits for the company:

Benefits for employees:

- Connections with other departments
- Easier to cooperate due to face-to-face relationships
summary
The Health and Safety Committee isa legally mandated forum, but it is also
an important place where employees can participate in shaping their work style and the company's development.
- Can be actively used to solve internal company issues
- Leads to the creation of systems that involve employees
- Serves as a point of contact for both the company and employees
By exchanging ideas on improving the workplace environment, promoting health, and addressing mental health issues, and by implementing concrete measures, we can create a safe and secure working environment
Let's make good use of the hygiene committee and work together to create a more comfortable working environment !
