Introduction
This is Gao Cheng from the China office, and I am suffering from the extremely hot in Shenzhen
From February 2024, I Beyond Technology Shenzhen Co., Ltd. , and will mainly work with Japanese companies in China. We sell server/infrastructure related IT services to customers.
I can't even remember when I started thinking about such things in my life, but I was a little excited because my dream of working abroad what I feel while stationed in Shenzhen , dividing it into ``happy things'' and ``troubled things.''
Living in Shenzhen ~Happy Things~
The thing I'm most happy about is the ``fulfillment of food delivery.''
I am already a heavy user, and for a time, the first thing I did when I woke up in the morning was order breakfast at Meituan
Perhaps this is just a reaction to my over-excitement, and I don't have that problem anymore, but the ease and price (low price) is still impressive.
The second is a lifestyle system where you can basically do everything you need with just a smartphone.
As many of you may know, QR code payments are mainstream in China, and everyday shopping, payments for utilities, subway transportation, etc. can all be completed using a smartphone.
Conversely, for people who cannot pay with their smartphones, this advantage turns into a disadvantage and they become unable to do anything, but once they get over that barrier, the amount of luggage they carry with them becomes much easier. Personally, I have become addicted to the convenience of being able to go out almost empty-handed.
Living in Shenzhen ~Troubles~
First and foremost is the toilet.
Western-style toilets do exist, of course, but they are rare and far more often than not.
Particularly in shopping malls, I head to the restroom with low hopes for a moment, but in the end, there are only Japanese-style restrooms, and I, a poor person with no tolerance for Japanese-style toilets, have been crushed many times. Ta.
It seems like it will take some time for me to get used to the shock of the ``simplicity of the toilet'' when I went to the toilet in Shenzhen for the first time
The second one is "an electric bicycle that races along the sidewalk."
Pedestrians are nothing but a threat and have almost been run over countless times.
*I finally got run over the other day.
Also, they will come at you from quite a distance, honking their horns, so if you are walking while wearing earphones, it will be difficult to notice them, which can be extremely dangerous.
There are a wide variety of models, including ones with a cargo bed on the back and ones that have been modified in a way I've never seen before so that they can seat three people. You can't help but feel the ferocious atmosphere.
summary
What do you think?
This time, I tried to write it in a slightly comical way, but when you actually live overseas, there are some things that are different from the Japan you are used to, and at first you may feel sad or difficult. There are many times when I feel sentimental.
However, I can honestly say that there are many parts of my first time living overseas that I am enjoying, and I am excited about the many things that will happen in the future!
This time it's just my impressions, but I'd like to update my blog little by little with non-technical things, so I hope you enjoy it! !
