I have introduced them many times in previous blogs, but there are so many that I don't understand them myself, so I have summarized the latest version of Beyond's welfare benefits and internal systems

Welfare
basic benefits

Welfare benefits common to IT companies
- Flex system (you can come to work freely between 9:00 to 12:00, core time 12:00 to 18:00)
- Remote work OK

- Free hairstyle/hair color
Remote work began in earnest in April 2020. Currently, I am working in a hybrid format of working in the office and working remotely.
Clothes are optional; some people wear jerseys, while others don't wear socks. You may also wear a suit when having meetings with external parties.
Of course, you can style your hair as you like. Gold , blue , pink , yellow , purple , silver , etc. Any color is acceptable.

Welfare benefits for engineers

The company will cover the cost of participating in external paid seminars and study sessions.
When I find an IT-related technical book that I want, I check with my superior and purchase it at the company.
We provide a separate stipend upon obtaining qualifications. The amount paid varies depending on the difficulty of the qualification.

For summer vacation, the dates are not specified by the company, but you can freely choose the days you want to take between July and September. So you can do it on consecutive holidays, or you can take a pinpoint break.
For Christmas vacation, if both December 24th and 25th are weekdays, you can take vacation on either date.

If you are an infrastructure engineer, you will be paid an allowance when you start a shift (on duty) to monitor servers.
Neighborhood allowance is paid to those who live within two stations from the office. Therefore, many employees live near the office.
Since the start of remote work, we have been providing an allowance of 500 yen per day for the days we work from home.

We hold an in-house study session every month, where three members of the company speak for about 10 to 15 minutes. The topic is either technical or non-technical, and non-engineers like me choose a non-technical topic of our choice.
English training began after Beyond's Canadian office was opened. has written a blog about why we do English training,
Blogs written within the company are paid an allowance of 2,000 yen per article. Every month, we give away an Amazon gift card to the person with the highest number of accesses that month. I bought a vacuum cleaner with the gift certificate I received.

Once a month, we also provide an opportunity to have lunch with other members of the company online. The company pays for food and drinks for company social gatherings and lunches.
Systems added due to the influence of coronavirus

With the increase in remote work, we want to take better care of our employees' mental health, so we have made it possible to use an anonymous mental support telephone service.

Until 2019, we held seasonal events such as cherry blossom viewing and barbecues, but we have now shifted to online social gatherings.
There is also a system in which employees can work at three locations in Osaka, Yokohama, and Shikoku for about a week, but we plan to implement this once it is possible to move to other prefectures.

The siesta system allows employees to take a nap once a day. a blog that interviews engineers who often use the Siesta system , so please read it if you'd like.
Starting in 2020, side jobs will be allowed, and if you get permission from your department's superior, you can do the work you want outside of work hours.
Starting in 2021, side jobs within the company will also be allowed. Among them, there is a private shop run by an engineer called ``Nomu Shin Shoten'', where cup ramen and sweets are sold at low prices. an interview article with the owner of Nomsin Store , so please read it if you like.
At YASAI in the office, healthy foods such as yogurt and chicken salad are sent regularly, and each item is sold within the company for 100 yen.

We have introduced various welfare benefits and in-house systems, including those common in IT companies and those unique to Beyond, but we are still undergoing trial and error as to what kind of work style is best for engineers, so we will continue to create a better environment. I want to work on improving the company!
