Hello,
I'm miyoshi, recruiting at Beyond Co., Ltd.
It's the season for the snow to melt.
Last week I felt a soft spring breeze.
I love this season, but watching the things that creep out every year makes me feel sad about the long winter.
Now, this time, with Beyond's full-scale recruitment of new graduates, tips for those trying out Beyond's interviews , as well as introducing the key points for general interviews! (Thank you so much for all your applications m(__)m)
If you are looking for a job in the future, please refer to this!
This is what Beyond's recruitment interview actually looks like!
① It's not just about "technical skills"! I also place importance on personality
Beyond is an engineer-focused company, but it values not only its skills but also its personality and way of thinking.
For example, this is what happens.
✅ Can you value teamwork?
✅ Are you willing to think and learn on your own and be independent?
✅ Can you act honestly to be of use to someone else?
In interviews, you will often be asked about episodes like, "What did you learn when you were a student?" and "What have you tried so far?" We also welcome the failure stories! By sharing the lessons and learnings learned through these experiences, we can discover elements that make you want to work with this person.
② We don't do "stubborn interviews"!
When you hear the word "interview," some people may be nervous, thinking, "I wonder if they'll be asked a tough question..." or "What if it's a stimulating interview?" No worries. The Beyond interview has a relaxed atmosphere!
Rather, it may be closer to "casual yet interacting" to get to know each other well.
Examples of actual questions
- "What technology have you been interested in lately?"
- "Have you ever contributed to the people around you?"
- "What do you want to do as an engineer?"
- "What kind of relationships do you want to build within the company?"
We would like to get to know all the applicants in depth, so please speak to us in our own way. Let's talk a lot.
It's useful for general interviews too! Three points to make a good impression
This is a useful feature not just for Beyond, but for interviews with any company.
① Make sure to prepare thoroughly!
"Interviews are a place to show off your own self," but companies also look at how much the applicants are interested in their company.
✅ Check out the company's website and blogs
✅ Understand the job content and the person you want
✅ Think about how you can contribute
It is also important to check the values that the company values in advance.
② Speak in your own words!
When it comes to answering questions during interviews, it is important to speak in your own words rather than preparing standard answers.
For example, the frequently asked question is, "What are your strengths?"
✖ "He has high communication skills" (I'm vague)
⭕ "In part-time work, I played the role of compiling everyone's opinions. For example..." (Specific and easy to understand)
Talking about episodes will leave you even more memorable!
Personally, I'm weak to ad-libbing and tension, so I used to prepare scripts at first.
In the middle, I roughly prepared some amount of content to talk about, grasping the key points, and then thinking about it on the spot, but that was definitely more popular.
As a recruiter, I think the lines I learned back then were obvious. . .
③ Ask a question!
At the end of the interview, you will often be asked, "Do you have any questions?", but this is your chance.
For example, a question like this:
✅ "What are the strengths that other companies have?
✅ "What is the daily flow of an engineer who actually works for?"
✅ "What are your plans for future business development?"
On the other hand, it might be a bit of a waste to answer, "There's nothing particularly special." Please ask anything that bothers you.
Finally: Why not work with Beyond?
Beyond is the perfect environment for those who want to try something new or want to work that makes the world a little easier while having fun.
